OLIVER TANK

With his own brand of incredibly textural glitch pop, combining live instruments and synths, Oliver Tank creates soundscapes akin to waking dreams. He’s already setting the blogosphere alight, charting in a top position on Hype Machine and has been gaining plays on XFM, Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music in the UK and has been getting extensive support from Triple J Radio in his native Australia. Many are claiming Oliver Tank is the natural successor to James Blake. The single track from the EP, Last Night I Heard Everything in Slow Motion recently featured on an advert for marriage equality entitled “It’s Time”, which has had over 5 million views on YouTube to date.

2011 saw Oliver win FBi Radio’s Northern Light Competition and head off to Iceland to attend Iceland’s Airwaves Festival where he collaborated and played shows with local artists. Oliver has supported Washington at the Sydney Opera House to a sold out crowd. He’s also been playing shows alongside Active Child, Youth Lagoon and Bonobo in Melbourne and Sydney.2012  saw Oliver  finally came to the UK and wow the crowds at The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City, later to go on to be the tour support for acts such as Lana Del Rey.
